Opening Thoughts:
One of the recent prayer requests (of the many we
receive daily)
states: "it just seems like everything in my life is not going right; I keep
hoping that it will get better, yet nothing. Can you please bring sunshine back
into my life?"
This prayer request reflects what many people often face and feel on a daily
basis. What can I do to improve my life? How can things get better? Where can
I find help?
As we each go through our day we face many challenges. Finding the answers is
often difficult. Where and how does one begin?
These kinds of concerns are a big reason why this website exists. We, too, face
daily challenges and it often feels overwhelming getting our work done and providing
suggestions that can be solutions. Even when we are presented with solutions
- spiritual solutions - it takes the
ongoing commitment to Live the Solution.
We feel your pain. Yet, God is nearby and we believe waiting for you to turn
to Him with your burdens. The words of Jesus Christ are both comforting and challenging.
A friend of mine mentioned today that change rarely takes place unless we are
dissatisfied. Of course. Why
would we change anything if it is all going ok?
We pray, we hope, and we have faith in God's great love to motivate us into action.
There are spiritual guidelines for us to measure our actions by. Don't give up,
brothers and sisters. Encourage each other,
even when you are "down in the dumps". Experience demonstrates that reaching
out to help others is a way to help us grow spiritually and to find purpose in
our lives.
Peace and joy,
Tom Gilbert

Your Words, Change Your Life
Article by Mary Wilkey
More and more we are hearing about this. Guard your
words. Watch what you say.
There is an old saying, "Watch what you pray for . . . you just might get
it."
This is very true. (Most old sayings are!)
Over the ages, countless books have been written about this very thing. And now
it seems to be at the forefront of people's minds once again. And rightly so.
In my opinion, there is no more important lesson to learn in life than this one.
What You Think and Say Matters
Do not ever let either your thoughts
dwell upon, or your speech reflect, anything you do not
wish to see manifest in your life.
Words are seeds. Plant enough of them in fertile ground, and they'll take root
and produce exactly what you say. (Like produces like.)
Use this gift of creativity wisely. "In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1). Meditate on that
Scripture at least once a day.
Spoken words send out vibrations into the ether. You are like a radio, with both
receiving and transmitting capabilities, as long as you have the breath of life.
The vibrations (frequencies) that emanate from your mouth will gravitate to those
that are on the same wave length. This is the law of attraction at work.
The thing we must realize is that these vibrations are neutral and do not differentiate
between positive and negative, or between good and evil.
If you are a Christian, you have a distinct advantage in this area over and above
all others. You have the privilege of praying in the Name of Jesus. And that
Name has awesome power.
I could go on and on with this point, but I think you probably "get it" by
now.

DAILY THOUGHTS & REFLECTIONS |

All Can Be Forgiven
Listen to this carefully...There's nothing
done or said that can't be
forgiven. (Mark 3:28 — The Message)
We all have done things that at one
time or another we wondered if God could ever forgive
us. We confess our sin and ask Him to forgive us
but many times we wonder in the back of our minds if He
really forgives
us. Jesus is making it very clear here today that there is nothing that
is unforgivable. Now for some that may seem hard when you think about murderers
and other cruel acts against people, but
God's words are clear.
As for us and our sins, we may know in our heads that God can forgive sins, but
we have doubt about our sins in our hearts. We must remember what the Bible
says about God. If we confess our sins He is just and faithful to not only forgive
our sins but to forget them as well. He separates them from you as far the East
is from the West and casts them into the sea of forgetfulness. He remembers them
no more. It is only we who remember them.
We must learn, for the sake of our own spiritual health, these truths —we
must let them sink into our hearts. We must understand that after we have
asked for God's forgiveness, in His
mind and heart it is as if it never happened. He is ready to go on with
your life. It is we, or maybe better stated, our enemy, who remembers our
sin and keeps beating us up over it. It's not
God.
God loves us and He knows our strength and limitations. He knows we are
going to make mistakes and bad choices. He forgives and forgets. We also
need to learn to forgive ourselves and
let it go.
Whatever old sin you are letting be a weight around your life, let
it go. God forgave you and has forgotten it, it's as if it
never happened. You are free. Go and live free.
Live it with passion
